R-CALF USA National Membership Chair Joel Gill to Speak

at Free Hamburger Fry / Membership Rally

1 p.m. CST – Saturday – March 10

Idabel Stockyards – Idabel, Oklahoma

R-CALF USA National Membership Chair Joel Gill will speak about issues that affect independent U. S. cattle producers at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, at the Idabel Sale Barn in Idabel, Okla. Free hamburgers will be served afterward. Currently, there are several issues likely to come before Congress that will impact live cattle producers, including: the 2007 Farm Bill and related competition concerns, such as transparency in the marketplace, packer ownership of livestock and enforcement of the Packers and Stockyards Act; country-of-origin labeling; animal health concerns such as USDA’s proposal to allow imports of Canadian cattle older than 30 months of age; Beef Checkoff reform; animal identification; and, international trade agreements.

Activities carried out by R-CALF USA for the benefit of the U.S. cattle industry are funded exclusively by the independent cattle producers who pay their membership dues and by cattle producers, main-street businesses, and other individuals who participate in and contribute to fund-raising events.

By the way I pledge a 100 dollars also. By golly, it is time to take a stand and Oklahoma will have a State Capital Rally March 12 2007 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Capital in Oklahoma City South Steps and plan to fill the entire Captial Area which is huge and parking lots with people. All signs have to be NONAIS SPECIFIC AND CLEAN LANGUAGE. WE WILL HAVE SOME AVAILABLE but really want them Home Made to Show this is Citizen Sponsored and not bought by any group but just plan citizens fed up with the whole mess. We had over 10,000 contacts last week in 21/2 days, got call today that more citizens are filling out petitions and they will call all on the list they are getting or have gotten signed petitions from so far about 700 people have committed to calling or bringing people. If each one brings their family and then 6 more friends, family members that is a 7000 citizen turnout and most will do more. That is how it works folks.

Alone we don’t have but a tiny voice but together we are a mighty power.

  1. Thank you Walter, I should add lots more than 700 are contacting people but that is just the confirmations I have to date. Many of us have similar numbers we contact. Everyone should really hear Dr. Max Thornsberry President RCalf USA on the podcats Feb 22, 2007 and the day before on NAIS also at www.derrybrownfield.com at the bottom is back shows that you can listen to free. The 22nd show is down and dirty on how USDA is using tax payer money in South America to put US OUT OF BUSINESS FOR THE LARGE GLOBAL CORPORATIONS PROFITS. I kid you not. We are paying to be put out of business. To hear archived shows with podcasting software

  2. A government of the people by the people for the people. This is something our government has forgotten. Time to remind them they are are public servants and not our masters!
