We are being threatened with a $5000 fine in five days if we don’t register here in WI. I am so angry over this! We don’t raise our animals for anyone’s use but ours and it is none of their buisness that I have five pet chickens!!!
One might remember that the USDA and many states had assured us that their program would not affect homesteaders. Of course, prior to that one of the USDA heads had declared that he would drive every back road in America hunting down anyone raising animals, down to the last chicken. Hot heads like that are the sort of thing the USDA top brass tried to distance themselves from - now they have a whole state, Wisconsin, of hot headed government officials they should hold at arms length and preferably drop in a cook pot. That’s what I do with roosters that crow too much. It is an amazingly effective cure.
